Welcome to the CMU Explorers Club website!

We are a student run organization dedicated to bringing together people with an interest in the outdoors since 1959. We venture into the wilderness through organized activities such as rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, caving, hiking, backpacking, flat and white water boating, sailing, skydiving, mountain biking, scuba diving, and more.

Trips: The vast majority of our events and trips are announced on our mailing lists, so be sure to subscribe to those for announcements and/or to announce a trip that you'd like to lead!

Gear Checkout: Gear checkout and return usually occurs at the storeroom at 4:00pm on Thursdays. Please contact our quartermaster via the #gearcheckout Slack channel ahead of time to arrange a check out or return. (Gear checkout on Thursday will NOT happen if no one indicates that they are coming.) We prefer members to reach out via this Slack channel as opposed to sending us an email as we have done in the past.
